Google Pixel Watch vs Apple Watch Series 7: Android finally has its own Apple Watch?

If the Google Pixel phones are meant to be (or at least trying to be) Android's answer to the iPhone, then the Google Pixel Watch is clearly Google's attempt at making an Apple Watch equivalent -- something that pairs and works seamlessly with Google/Android products.
